PeopleSoft Query is a reporting tool for end-users. Without writing SQL queries, PeopleSoft Query allows you to retrieve the precise information you need by leveraging visual representations of your PeopleSoft database.
Select the private query you want to share with other users from Reporting Tools > Query > Query Manager. Simply click the drop-down button next to the 'Action' section once you've selected your private query(s) that you want to copy to other users, as shown below.
Chatbots, machine learning, suggestions, natural language processing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain could all be included in PeopleSoft in the future.
To get to the Query page, follow these steps:
  • Select Reporting Tools, Query, and Query Manager from the drop-down menu.
  • Create a new query by clicking the Create New Query link.
  • To find an existing record, use the Search button.
  • For the chosen record, click the Add Record option. The Query page is displayed.
The information isn't saved in the database. It is built dynamically. To get the SQL, you can utilize the Query class.
Clearing the owner ID allows you to remove, rename, and change the status of queries from private to public. You can then alter or rename it by selecting it. To make it public, go to Assign New Owner and remove the owner from the list.
To remove a query, follow these steps:
  • Choose PeopleTools > Utilities > Administration > Query Administration from the drop-down menu.
  • Select a predefined search or a manual search on the Admin (Administration) page by clicking the corresponding Search button.
  • To delete something, press the Delete key.
