Course Objectives

NGINX is an open-source web server, reverse proxy, caching, load balancing, video streaming, and other applications. NGINX may also operate as an email proxy server (IMAP, POP3, and SMTP), as well as a reverse proxy and load balancer for HTTP, TCP, and UDP servers, in addition to being an HTTP server.
NGINX may launch several worker processes, each of which can handle a huge number of connections at once. Running one worker process per CPU core works well in most circumstances, and we recommend setting this directive to auto to do so.
NGINX is a web server that also serves as a reverse proxy, email proxy, and load balancer. The software's structure is asynchronous and event-driven, allowing it to handle multiple requests at once. NGINX is also highly scalable, which means that its service expands in tandem with the traffic of its users.
For the time being, NGINX does not provide a certification path for its course portfolio. Instead, they choose from a list of five options, three of which are given by Westcon Comstor. Labs with pre-configured teaching environments are included in all courses. NGINX Core is a good place to start if you're new to NGINX.
NGINX is a powerful web server with a non-threaded, event-driven architecture that, when set correctly, can surpass Apache. It can also do other functions such as load balancing, HTTP caching, and reverse proxying.
With NGINX, you can use it as a very effective HTTP load balancer to spread traffic to numerous application servers and increase web application performance, scalability, and stability.
In general, properly configured NGINX can handle up to 400K to 500K (clustered) requests per second, but most of what I've seen is 50K to 80K (non-clustered) requests per second and 30% CPU load. Of course, this was on a 2 x Intel Xeon with HyperThreading enabled, but it should work fine on slower machines as well.
