SAP Career Path

• When exploring career options as a student at University of Texas at Austin, I looked for three main things: diversity of project experiences, hands-on technical work and inspiring leadership. I found that at Accenture, as well as a career in the highly competitive field of SAP.
  While I didn’t seek out SAP—or even know what that was coming out of college—I am thrilled with where this path has taken me. I get to help solve some of the biggest
• challenges facing the energy industry, while growing skills in a platform that can transform just about any industry worldwide.
  If that sounds aspirational, it is. But it’s also my daily reality—below is a small taste. You can also experience a day in my life in the video below, which I originally shared on Accenture US's Instagram account.
• Currently, I am the Management of Change (MOC) Lead for an Upstream Direct implementation of SAP S/4 HANA. That’s a lot of words and acronyms that boils down to this: I am responsible for the design, build, test and deployment of the MOC module for a global oil and gas company.
• The breath and rate of digital transformations makes SAP so exciting.
• SAP is adapting and moving from a monolithic enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, to a cloud-hosted dynamic system. The way we deliver, design and scale SAP solutions is changing fast—and Accenture is leading the way as one of their leading partners. For example, we are continuously creating new applications on SAP’s Leonardo platform, which is not only adding value for our client, but they can be easily implemented.
• Being involved on the Environmental, Healthy, and Safety (EHS) modules within SAP, I ensure that companies in high-risk industries, from chemicals to oil and gas, are working safe and are compliant. Visiting client job sites, I see the impact of our work on the operators who are in the system every day. From the engineers in the field, to the EHS directors making decisions, I see first-hand how the system we help design and the analytics we provide helps drive the health and safety agenda for these companies.
• One of my favorite things about working at Accenture is the people. Everyone says it for a reason, and it’s not just talk. In fact, a lot of my close friends are those I’ve met through Accenture.
• I can honestly say that work is so much more fun when you like who you’re working with.
• It’s also gratifying to share my experience with those just starting on their career path. I am very involved in our University of Texas Recruiting Team (Hook ‘Em!), and I love going back to campus, meeting with students, and eventually new analysts, and watching them grow in the firm.

SAP IS-Retail Functional Consultant

Roles and Responsibilities

• Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP IS-Retail
• Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
• Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements
• Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develop necessary product modifications to satisfy clients’ needs
• Design, customize, configure and test the SAP IS-Retail module
• Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions
• Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems
• Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements
• Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects
• Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required
• Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members

Skills and Experience Of SAP IS - Retail

• At least 5 years of work experience in relevant retail consulting services engagements or business environments, implementing or using Retail business processes and applications.
• Experience with SAP Retail (in one of the following areas: Planning, Retail Financial, Merchandising: Rebates, Pricing and Promotions or Supply Chain)
• Ability to support all stages of a SAP Retail implementation project
• Profound understanding of Retail business processes
• Understanding of integration points with the SD, MM, and FI/CO modules
• Fluently bilingual in English and French (spoken and written)
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deliverables and projects concurrently.
• Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others
• Must be result-oriented and demonstrate a Dzcan-dodz attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
• Ability to provide recommendations with regards to future business andsolution opportunities
