      TFS Backup and Restore

    A build definition consists of a series of Tasks which is executed during an automated build process. Examples of the tasks can consist of running a Visual Studio Build, MS Build, executing PowerShell or Shell scripts etc. 1) To create a Build Definition, login to TFS web interface and go to the Builds TAB.
    TFS is developed by Microsoft to manage the teams and the way they work. It is basically a management tool used in project management, reporting, requirements gathering and testing. It actually covers the entire software development life cycle and operates in Microsoft Windows.
    To get started, open Visual Studio 2010 and select File | Source Control | Workspaces. This will open the Manage Workspaces window, where you can control the settings of all the workspaces on the machine.

    Team Foundation Server (often abbreviated to TFS) is a Microsoft product that provides tools and technologies designed to help teams collaborate and orchestrate their efforts to finish projects or create a product. It enables DevOps capabilities covering the entire application lifecycle.
    Git is distributed as everyone has a full copy of the whole repo and its history. TFS has its own language: Check-in/Check-out is a different concept. Git users do commits based on distributed full versions with difference checking. TFS provides a “shelf” to hold local changes temporarily.
    Team Foundation Server (Microsoft TFS) helps manage teams and their code. It's because TFS offers a combo of version control, issue tracking, and application lifecycle management.
    TFS is being renamed to Azure DevOps Server for the next major version, while VSTS (Visual Studio Team Services) has been renamed to Azure DevOps. Since Azure DevOps Server hasn't been launched it and Azure DevOps has already made the change I will refer to TFS simply as TFS and VSTS as Azure DevOps.
