JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Experience in installation,configuration and upgradation administration on Windows and UNIX environments to support Oracle DB along with RAC,RMAN,Dataguard,Goldengate
• Proficient to implement High Availability,Work Load Management and Fail Over,Disaster recovery and performance tuning
• Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

As Oracle Database Administrator, you are responsible for installation, configuration managing database server and applying security patches other Patches for upgrading versions of oracle database on different platforms.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum 5 years total experience in IT Industry
• Experience in installation, configuration and upgradation administration on Windows and UNIX environments to support Oracle DB along with RAC, RMAN, Data guard, Golden gate
• Proven expertise to build DBA Objects like Queue Managers, Queues and channels
• Ability to install, configure on ORACLE DBA Clustering and fix support packs on all OS platforms
• Proficient to implement High Availability, Workload Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery and performance tuning
• Expertise in debugging and analytical skills with solid grasp of system development methodologies, techniques, and tool

ELIGIBILITY :

• Configure and maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL, Vertica and MySQL database servers
• Participate in the teams 24×7 on call rotation and provide occasional off-hours support when required
• Should be hands-on supporting large-scale database running on AWS
• Proactively identify areas for optimization and troubleshoot database performance issues
• Work closely with Application Development team to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly prioritized and scheduled.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL and PLSQL code
• Strong shell scripting knowledge, and python scripting
• Manage database schema maintenance and migrations
• Improve service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and process
• Administer different technologies and tools like MongoDB, Postgres DB, AWS, MS Azure
• Implement and maintain database backup and recovery, disaster recovery procedures

SKILLS :

• Oracle, PostgreSQL DBA skills, preferably in a Linux environment
• Good knowledge of Oracle Data Guard, Oracle Golden Gate, RAC implementation and PostgreSQL active-passive cluster
• Experience administering MongoDB, Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Solid experience with the Linux operating system and command set
• Use EM, Confio Ignite, Toad and other tools to identify areas for optimization
• Ability to solve problems, make sound decisions and use good judgement
• Good written and communication skills
