Is it worth learning iOS development in 2020?

Yes of course it is worth to learn app development in 2020. ... If you want to go in native app development then you have to learn the Java first then go with Android or kotlin and if you want to go with iOS app native app development then you have to learn Swift programming language.
Xcode 8 is one of the best IDE for iOS app development that features automatic completions and full syntax highlighting for Swift. It is integrated with the Cocoa Touch frameworks. It has an assistant button which splits the editors into primary work document & the assistant editor.

Yes, you need a Mac. It's the basic requirement for iOS development. To develop an iPhone (or iPad) app, you need to first get a Mac with Intel-based processor running on Mac OS X version 10.8 (or up)
es you can learn Swift without any prior coding experience. Swift has been designed by some of the brightest minds at Apple and they have made sure that the language is easy to learn even by absolute beginners.
Swift really isn't that hard to learn, compared to some languages. It helps to have OOP principles already in your toolbox, but even without that it's really not a terribly difficult language to pick up.
Apple official resource is the first place I visited. Read through basic concepts and get your hand dirty by coding them along on Xcode. Besides, you can try the Swift-learning course on Udacity. Although the website said that it will take about 3 weeks, but you can complete it in several days (several hours/days).
Objective-C and Swift are two main programming languages used to build iOS apps. While Objective-C is an older programming language, Swift is a modern, fast, clear, and evolving programming language. If you're a new developer who wants to build iOS apps, my recommendation would be Swift.

Why You Should Learn Swift 4??

Built-in design features and algorithms give you real-time feedback while cutting out the menial tasks that can slow programmers down. Swift operates off a compiler technology that transforms complex code into optimized syntax that makes programming more approachable.
