1. Click Start > All Programs > HP Software > HP LoadRunner > Virtual User Generator or double-click the Virtual User Generator shortcut icon on the desktop. The main HP Virtual User Generator window opens.
- Record a script.
- Replay script.
- Identify the values to be correlated.
- Select the values and click the auto-correlate button.
- Verify the script by running again. A successful run means successful correlation.
While JMeter does support scripting in elements, you are not required to. This means you can run a complete load test without knowing a bit of code. This expands the number of users who can use JMeter or analyze the test results.LoadRunner, on the other hand, requires scripting knowledge.

1. Load Runner
HP LoadRunner is an software testing tool from Hewlett-Packard. It is used to test applications, measuring system behaviour and performance under load. HP acquired LoadRunner as part of its acquisition of Mercury Interactive in November 2006.

Mainly used for testing websites that run on browsers
You must know at least the basics of how to use a computer, and should be able to start a command line shell. If you are new to programming then Introduction to Programming is strongly recommended.
Most people would have started learning Performance testing using LoadRunner.Having said that LoadRunner has it own advantages in terms of the number of protocols it can support and it is the pioneer in the performance testing industry

Selenium is used to perform Automated Functional Testing whereas Load Runner is a Non Functional testing tool.
As a manual tester you would have done Functional testing and would have good knowledge in that. In order to use your previous experience , I would suggest you to learn Selenium.
Not only this, Selenium is in high demand. You would have better job prospects in future. In terms of number of jobs, there is always higher demand for Functional Testers.
