Being a System Administrator myself, I would say it is very challenging and satisfactory job one could have as a techie. But current market is focusing on Cloud, more than JUST Unix Administrator, you need to focus more on Cloud based solutions as like , Dev-Ops Admin and focus on technologies like AWS (Amazon Web Services) and OES (Oracle Engineered Systems).
